We needed a new website.
Like many businesses our website was a little old and tired, looked rubbish on a mobile phone and wasn’t easy to keep up to date. We had to call a developer each time we wanted to make changes to the content and wait for a response that sometimes never came.
Our website became a source of frustration and we put off replacing it. We looked at all the options available – slick city agencies (too expensive), freelance developers (couldn’t design), freelance designers (couldn’t develop) and offshore firms (too unreliable).
What we were looking for was an agency that focused on delivery, that didn’t cost the earth and could work flexibly and grow the site with us.
We were looking for a web partner, but found everyone only wanted to talk about “the new site”. Nobody was talking about the ongoing support and management we wanted.

Not another agency
We imagined an agency that wasn’t driven only by the project. An agency that didn’t design flashy complicated sites because they looked good in a portfolio or awards nomination. An agency that would hold a customers hand throughout the entire lifetime of their website. An agency without big upfront costs to pay for the funky offices and the skateboarding designers.
It did not take us long to realise we didn’t want an agency at all, or that our potential customers didn’t, either. We wanted a company able to become “a hub” for all things online. A single UK provider for businesses to deal with for anything related to their digital presence, that was based on the personal touch with a mix of onshore and offshore resources to suit customers needs and budgets.
Graham and Craig have worked and been in business together since 2002, focusing on service delivery and technical operations for a number of large UK organisations such as Lehman Brothers, Barclays, New York Stock Exchange, Clifford Chance, Metropolitan Police, Argos, University College London (UCL) and KPMG.
Graham is responsible for business and account management and Craig all delivery and technology.
Alex has been with us since we began and as our lead developer sets the technical direction for projects and support and oversees the technical team. We supplement our in-house team with specialists when needed and have a number of partners with expertise in marketing, graphic design and advertising.
